The United States Supreme Court granted certiorari in this case, because they look at the benefit of the redevelopment of the community as superior to that of a view individuals. When it comes down to the United States weighing the balance between a few people in society versus society at large, society would always win mainly because it involves a larger number of people. It s basically a decision in which the United States judged a situation and handles it in a way they believed to be what society calls the common good. It primarily consists of having the social systems, institutions, and environments on which to depend on to work in a manner that benefits all people in many ways that includes a flourishing economic system (Santa Clara University, 2014). It s the reason the court argued that economic development was a function of the government, argues that in fact economic development is apart of public purposes, the reason they mentioned that the redevelopment promotes econ omic welfare in the United States, and emphasizes the great respect that the United States Supreme Court owe to state legislatures and state courts in discerning local public needs. And then the focus shifted on how Google popularized this video watching scenario in 2006, as an attractive product in the market. The article also highlighted that YouTube was evolving into the TV stream. And for this, the company was planning on introducing 40 channels, including the giants like ESPN, Disney and FX for a just $35 per month. An agreement is also under process with the four big networks, including Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC. Though, the key channels are missing, for instance HBO and TNT. This is the difficulty which the company is facing as it is unable to offer what TV can (Wakabayashi, 2017). One thing working in the favor of the company however is the young consumers as they have never paid for satellite or cable TV. YouTube success has made it the most valuable property of Alphabet, which is Googles Parent company. YouTube generated $5.6 billion in advertising revenue in 2016 for Google and the projected growth for 2017 is 20% (Wakabayashi, 2017). The next aspect which had to be dealt in the assignment was the geographical location of the chosen article. Even though, the article was published in the New York Times, but being based on the topic of YouTube, it had universal presence. So, due to its presence over the internet, this article took place in every such place with internet connectivity. The article was also relevant to the course being taught to us, and that too in a number of ways. The foremost is advertising, as the revenue earned by YouTube is majorly based on advertisements displayed on the website. It also relates to the manner in which the traditional marketing has changed and it is no longer constricted to TV alone. The role of advertising, promotion and social media is covered under this article and relates to our course. To conclude, this article has effectively highlighted the progression and growth of YouTube. The article also covered the future strategies which YouTube is undertaking to increase its revenue, by offering subscriptions of TV channels.
